The engine is in the trunk of the sidecar. The one on the motorcycle is a fake - just valve covers on the side of the faring.

The engine is a Mazda sequential twin turbo rotary from a Cosmo, a Mustang like 2 plus 2 not inported into the US. It has been highly modified and makes 350 HP on the dyno. It drives both rear wheels through a VW automatic transporter transmission.
