  • 64 Pontiac Bonneville Wagon

My dad bought this car new in 1964 and used it almost exclusively to go back and forth to the golf course in Bay View Michigan in the summer. It also served as the beach mobile when not at the golf course. He left it in his garage at his summer home in Bay View all winter long so it has just over 100,000 miles on it and very little rust. I brought it out to California in the fall of 2010 to restore it and update the drive train and creature comforts to make it more road worthy. The color is 2010 Honda Glacier Blue which is very close to the original but with a little more metallic. The drive train is 2000 Camaro Z-28 LS1 with a 4L60E transmission. The suspension was unchanged other that to lower the front end 1 1/2 inches. It still needs stiffer shocks to firm up the ride. It has Pontiac eight lug wheels, AC, and cruise control. It is a great road car and got 20 MPG on it's first road trip.

LS1 engine from a 2000 Camaro Z-28 makes 350 HP and gets 20 MPG on the road.

Pontiac offered these beautiful 8 lug wheels as a performance option in the 60's.

    The grill cleaned up nicely.

Other than new carpeting compliments of Sid Chavers, the interior is original.
